Given the restrictions and uncertainty deriving from the coronavirus pandemic, the Authentic Italian Table could not be replicated in the summer of 2020, unfortunately.

Instead, the Italian Chamber of Commerce decided to organise a unique online event, an exclusive masterclass with Chef Francesco Mazzei, one of the most renowned Italian chefs in London.

Proud ambassador of the Southern Italian cuisine (Calabrian, in particular), Chef Mazzei opened several restaurants around the world, eventually becoming Chef Patron in the London-based restaurants Radici, Fiume and Sartoria, three of the best Italian restaurants in the capital.

During the online masterclass, Chef Mazzei will be cooking two dishes using Italian ingredients (some of which with PDO or PGI designations, which are synonym of high quality and easy traceability).

Selected food influencers, connected through Zoom, will be preparing the dishes following his advice and learning about authentic Italian produce and their use, with the aim of telling their audience about the products and the importance of reading the labels when food-shopping.
